Short Biography
Corinne Farquharson achieved her apprenticeship as “employee de commerce gestion” in 1988. After 8 months between Canada and the United States of America to improve her English knowledge, she was hired by Philip Morris S.A. in Lausanne as a junior accountant for their finance department. In 1993, she left Switzerland with her future husband to live on a sugar estate in Jamaica . She spent 8 years in the Caribbean sharing her time between restoration of a Great House, setting up a touristic attraction, working for various local companies and acting as a tour guide for cruise ships companies. She and her family came back in Switzerland in 2001. Until 2006, she looked after her family, passed her proficiency level in English and ZMP level in German. She then joined, on a part-time basis, a printing company as administrative assistant before joining the EPFL and DISAL laboratory in May 2008.
